OUR PROJECTS

Beyond Yellowstone: Connecting Montana’s Stories Through Art, Agriculture, and Native Heritage

The Beyond Yellowstone Routes are a network of cultural tourism paths that start and end at the Artist’s Chapel. These routes are designed to bring visitors beyond Yellowstone National Park to explore Montana’s small towns, farms, Native lands, and wild landscapes, connecting them to the state’s rich heritage and stories.

Each route focuses on:

:01

Native American Stories

Told by the Indigenous communities themselves, sharing history, traditions, and modern perspectives.

:02

Agritourism

Highlighting Montana’s local farmers, ranchers, and Montana-made products to support rural economies.

:03

The Arts

Bringing international artists to rural communities for outreach programs that inspire and enrich local lives.

GOALS

  1. Support local economies through sustainable tourism.
  2. Preserve Montana’s stories and traditions.
  3. Create new economic opportunities for rural communities.
