The Mission of the Artists Chapel

We are creating a cultural hub that positions Montana as a world leader in the arts. Through the Artist’s Chapel, international outreach programs, and cultural tourism, we will make Montana synonymous with creativity and storytelling.

Our programs bring artists to rural communities, inspire new works, and share Montana’s stories on a global stage.

The Artist’s Chapel is a proof of concept for sustainable building. We’re using Montana-grown materials like hempcrete and timber to build homes and structures that are more affordable, resilient, and environmentally friendly.

Our goal is to create economic resilience for Montana by promoting innovative industries like agriculture, sustainable building, and art.

We believe rural communities can thrive through innovation, keeping resources and revenue in Montana.

We are committed to preserving Montana’s wild lands, Native stories, small farms, and local craftsmanship.

This means:
• Honoring Native American heritage and traditions, told by Indigenous communities themselves.
• Supporting small, independent farmers and ranchers to ensure that local agriculture continues to thrive.
• Protecting wild lands to remain wild for future generations.
